Steps to Use Curtain Tapes in A Right Way

Pleater tape or curtain tape can help you install draperies easily and quickly. Curtain tapes allow people to automatically design pleats or creases in the drape fabric without doing it manually that can save your precious time. These are easily available in any home improvement store, craft or arts store. 

Here are some easy steps that you can consider to use the curtain tape in drapery installation projects:  

• Stretch your curtain tape in a gentle manner to avoid it from ripping. Now form a crease in a pleating tape and then fold it to any shape you want. Insert a drapery hook inside the crease to hold it properly. Ensure that you hook the crease in a right place. In order to connect it to the curtain rod, the hook should face the back of the crease. 

• Drape the curtain tape and place the first crease in a place to the curtain rod with any drapery hook. Do this practice and space the particular crease in a place. There are many curtain tape manufacturers providing quality curtain tapes for this process. 

• Detach the curtain tape from the specific curtain rod. Lay it on any flat surface using creases facing upward direction. Now lay the drapery material over the curtain tape and properly slide that drapery material into the folds of creases and pin it. 

• Fold all edges of the drape fabric over the back of curtain tapes. After that quickly drape the fabric into the place. Start the sewing machine and employ it for sewing the bottom edge.

• Join the curtain tape to any drapery fabric with the help of an iron. Turn the drapes to have the curtain tape moving upward direction. Now you can iron the beginning edge and move the iron quickly from the top to the bottom of the curtain tape.
